Antisocial is a Thing, as is coming to terms with not being able to go home (and probably needing to actually help rather than sulking), dealing with pokemon needing to heal the old fashioned way - which sucks, if you ask him-, and.... the baby seedot in his arms.

He looks rather annoyed to even be asking, but - he has no choice.] Katharine has pokemon. The girl who gave me this had some kind of pokemon, and [Here, Silver makes a face.] He's got a team.

...Who else here has pokemon and is willing to battle to make this thing stronger? My pokemon are too powerful for it.

[A beat, then] Same goes for the rest of my team. If I have to be stuck here, I'm not going to stop training. They've fallen behind.

[Of course this is the first thing on his mind. At least he's not insulting anyone? Yet.]

Well if it is forced violence then yes, I do take issue with it. No one should be forced to fight if they don't want to.

Violence only hurts those it touches, for obvious reasons. It is something that while sometimes needed should be resorted to only in dire straights.

Pokemon like to fight because it makes them stronger. If you want to be a trainer, you have to have them fight.

[-there's a lot of other things someone can do with pokemon, but Silver really doesn't think much of those professions.]

[He grits his teeth for a moment and allows himself a long breath before responding. This child...]

Kizuna isn't a pokemon. She's a dragon. [Kizuna chirps because she knows she's being introduced, basically. Hello tiny screen person.]

And strength isn't always about fighting.

A bleeding heart wouldn't have the abilities I have. I can speak to Pokemon, and they speak to me and tell me of their feelings.

[Rin glances at her pokemon, and he glances back. Koo, her Ralts, looks a little nervous but he nods with determination all the same.]

I do. [Not that he has many, baby pokemon and all.] But this will be our first battle, so I'm not familiar with the process. Are there rules, like in a spar?

[He made this sound like a formal thing, with the way he called it training. As someone who practices martial arts, that makes her think it must have some structure.]

It's not like they fight all the time, and pokemon aren't like humans; human stresses don't effect them the same way. They need to fight to get stronger. Moron.

AZ. And why should I fight you? If you're not going to treat Pokemon as anything but 'things', then I don't know if you really should even have them.

We're trainers. You know the rule, right? [And totally trying to invoke the eye-contact rule GO.]

We're not face to face. And maybe, but I'd rather be a bleeding heart than someone who doesn't even treat Pokemon as if they have feelings. Trainers like you... they never go far, because they can't even see that it's themselves holding them back.

[A nod, and Silver holds up his fingers. He's going to teach her the way his father did, once upon a time.] Battles are until the pokemon faints. There's no running from a battle. Don't target the trainer. Typically the loser paid the winner some amount of money. But here, I think we can skip that.

[As he speaks, he ticks each point off.]

[Rin places her hands on her hips and nods to each point. Ugh, no targeting the trainer, though. There goes one idea, but alright. That's fair.]

Alright. What about recovery?

[What.]

How can you say something like that?! They are living creatures!

No. They have different stresses, which you seem quite content to ignore.

You're not convincing anyone you're a good trainer or an adult, you know.
