[Since Sans returned their phone, no digital stone has been left unturned; Frisk saw Sanji's message, buried beneath the mountain of texts from their Partner. It seemed like... it was in poor taste to answer it, all this time later.]

[Needing a vacation, golly. Frisk is lucky they're all showing MERCY.]

HAVE YOU JUST RETURNED FROM YOUR VACATION?!

[The hug last for as long as Frisk allows, though Norma is a little hesitant to break contact. They're probably not that much younger than she is, but even so...they just seem so young, too young, to have to have dealt with something so scarring. It's not fair that people have to die, but kids? That's plain cruel. She has so many things to say, to ask - I missed you - being the first that's ready to spill over from the cauldron that is her emotions, but Norma abides by their shushing gesture and waits. Waits for what she expects to be an explanation.

What she gets is so much better.

She laughs, hard and openly and honestly. The first time she's ever laughed that hard in a long time - several months now - and wipes at the tears that are spilling down her face, both from her laughter and from just how happy she is to see her little friend again. She's lost too many people in her time to keep that awful trend going. It's...refreshing to get another chance.]

It's good to have you back, Whispers. [She ruffles their hair, grinning.] I hope you're ready for some serious spoiling!

[Yukio manages at least a small smile when he sees Frisk’s feed turn on. At least they aren’t trying to hide… though they are looking exhausted. Yukio can only hope that the tiredness goes away before something intense happens around the castle.]

It’s… it’s okay. I just didn’t think it would be so sudden. Um, are you busy right now?

[He wants to at least… give them a hug, or something.]

[A happy Papyrus is a happy... well, a lot of people, honestly. Frisk mirrors that motion of planting their fists on their hips, puffing their chest out a little bit to match his confidence. In fact, the gesture is so emboldening that it takes the edge of unpleasantness out of bringing up their "vacation".]

I've been back for a few days. [A pause, and then in a tone that's mostly teasing:] Did you miss me?

I made friends with Sans and his brother in a day, too. We even left the Underground together.

But they weren't my beach summer fun buddies.

[It's funny. Ever since... coming back, a lot of people have been really happy to see Frisk. It's made them feel - good, for the most part. Mixed. But good.]

[Yet they perceive an echo of forgiveness in this response, and somehow, that feels better.]

Will you be there too?

[Exhausted, but in good spirits. With Yukio's understanding obtained, there's plenty of relief and fondness in the smile they direct into the feed. Frisk shakes their head empathically. They're sorta... currently under the scope, at least where their Partner is concerned, but they have to go say hi to everyone else, too.]

No. Want to meet up?

[Heh, nailed it. Frisk is delighted at her laughter, their own face practically beaming as she tousles the unkempt mop on their head. No sadness, not over them; there's no need. They'll always come back. They know how important it is.]

[Especially, um... now.]

[They can't think of a way to tell her that without it sounding weird, though, so they simply make a half-hearted attempt at smoothing their hair down while pulling another face - a genuine reaction this time. They get it, they do, but they can't help but feel like some of their friends and family are going overboard.]

I just want everyone to feel normal again.

[Ah... whoops. Either Sans told them while they were just a SOUL, or... maybe he forgot.]

[Norma grins, though she's not quite at the emotional capacity to play Facemaster this time around. Not yet, anyway. Sadly, things aren't quite normal just yet, and Norma's still bothered by the fact that Frisk had to die and...and come back like this. That they have to live with that memory. It must be so hard for them, to remember it. Remember that they died - that there'll always be a statue in the memorial hall to remind them of that. To remind everyone.

Still, some normalcy does sound ideal right about now, even if it seems such a long ways off. But walking on eggshells isn't going to make anyone feel better, so why not just try to walk on by? It's not like they're making light of what happened, or ignoring it. They're just...continuing on.]

Well, what can I do to help out? Did you eat anything yet? I dunno if you know, but Swoonji's been helping me learn to make a few dishes. [Not baked stuff, and a few baked dishes she didn't know.] Can I tempt you with a lunch date~? ♥

[Burying his head in books has at least kept his mind off of the secrets everyone has been keeping from him. And maybe if he reads enough medical journals, people will remember that he can be helpful too, if they let him try.]

[ the tall skeleton looks as if he could start weeping with happiness at any second when Frisk copies his gesture! What poise! Papyrus brings a hand to his chest and delicately presses red gloved fingertips against his chestplate. He's beaming. ]

[ he huffs, giving Frisk a mock 'how dare!!!!' look, which is replaced by his casual, skeletal grin.

[All things considered, it takes a bit longer than one might expect to make the relatively short journey from the living quarters to the library - because Frisk has to pause now and then to shoot off a short volley of texts, or because their footsteps are just dragging that much more than usual. But eventually they find their way there, thumb flicking their phone onto silent to avoid disruption to the upcoming conversation. Sliding it back into their pocket, Frisk trails further into the room, eyes casting about for their friend.]

[The fact that she delivers her words in pun format staves off the flash of guilt Frisk receives at reading them. They really, um... didn't think there'd be this many people noticing they were gone.]

Patella the truth, I didn't get the chance to tell anyone.

[A couple seconds' pause.]
