Subject: Network repairs in progress

Network's back up in a few areas. Generator's back up and power recharging should be online in the Mess Hall. Other pieces are going to require additional fixes; we're getting the residence halls first. Thanks to Colin and Rin.

If anyone has ideas for new generators or power systems based on different technology, that would be appreciated. The current attacks have demonstrated that our current network and generators are vulnerable under certain circumstances that the Queen is likely to attempt to reproduce. Serious ideas only, please. An ideal redundant power system should be completely understood by none of us, but every component understood by at least two of us. Key figures for that include myself, Colin Starfury, Rin Tohsaka, Pidge Gunderson and Sans, and that's just off the top of my head.

I'll work out the details after some sleep. Later.

Good idea. Would require a fairly long wiring distance, or manual transfer of batteries. Might be a good plan regardless.

I was thinking it could be used more like a separate charging/power hub for emergency situations. That way it would be less likely to be a priority target in future attacks.

True. Mind, it could also end up being the first thing knocked out on an attack from that direction, but if it were less critical infrastructure, that might be okay...

Back-up generators are always useful. If there was a hydroelectric power supply that could charge power packs that could be easily transported they could be used in emergencies to keep the network up and running.

Rechargeable, portable charging stations. That would be useful.

Such a system would have the advantage that even if everyone knows it, it could be made redundant enough to be attack-resistant even in situations of multiple aware attackers. Smart idea, for sure...
