But, as things go, this is a special occasion and she wants to change it up.

Special as in: she's bored and not readily finding the usual things she busies herself with that fulfilling.]

Sometimes when you arrive there isn't anybody you actually know, so you've gotta make do with introducing yourself to the castle. People here are mostly good, though, so even if you are alone you don't feel lonely.
