OLDER TIME PERIOD? I FEEL A LITTLE INSULTED. MY WORLD EXISTS IN THE PRESENT AS MUCH AS ANY OTHER.
AS FAR AS ENTERTAINMENT GOES, I HAVE LISTENED TO EVERY SONG WRITTEN, WITNESSED MANY PLAYS, DANCED MANY DANCES, AND WATCHED EVERY FILM PRODUCED DURING MY WORLD'S BRIEF EXPERIMENT IN THAT MEDIUM.
Ah, so you do have film. I wonder, then, how you have film without having cartoons?
Regardless, would you have preferred I call your tech level Amphibianic? My universe is... ah, accelerated far beyond the initial creation of film. So I don't exactly have many good reference points.
Were there any that you enjoyed? Song, film, play, other?
HAD. MY WORLD IS, TO BE QUITE HONEST, LOUSY WITH MAGIC. THE INVENTION OF FILM LED TO A SMALL TEAR IN THE FABRIC OF REALITY, THROUGH WHICH AN ELDRITCH BEING WAS ABLE TO SLIP THROUGH. THE MEDIUM HAS SINCE BEEN ABANDONED.
I MUST ADMIT THAT I AM INTRIGUED BY ROMANCE, THOUGH I DO NOT FULLY UNDERSTAND IT.
People have been failing to understand romance since the dawn of civilization. I don't think anyone will fault you for not getting it.
Hmmm... From an artistic standpoint I could probably start with the basics. Steamboat Willy, Fantasia, What's Opera Doc... We're showing Spirited Away, so that's covered. You missed Totoro night, so I think I should either arrange a second showing, or give you a private showing... I should ask Alphys about good anime staples, my wife never told me what's good there.
Damn, this really is a question of indecision in the face of too many options.

Let me revise the statement, then.
Do you want comedy, drama, action?
Episodic one-shots, or a series with an over-arching story?
If you're looking for the one-shots, I show Saturday Morning Cartoons every... wait for it... Saturday Morning.
Five days from now. But I could be convinced to show you something special.

Do you have any particular reason for wanting to see cartoons? Did someone mention something in particular?

I'll be showing an anime movie in a few days for movie night. Spirited Away. It's a classic.

ARE THERE ANY CARTOONS ALREADY PREPARED?

It's a hazard of having too many choices.

Has there been any manner of entertainment you enjoyed? Any whatsoever?

BUT FIRST... IS THERE A THEATRE FOR CARTOONS HERE?

I've got a screen and speakers discreetly hidden so as not to detract from the day to day experience.
