I'm back from vacation.

For most of us. There was a festival the other month. And we cleared out more of the castle.


Chara's had it a little rough though.

I know. They're doing better now.

[Again, not strictly a lie; Frisk hasn't been back long, but by virtue of being back, they're fairly certain that 'better' is a safe assumption to make.]

[Steven brought up both the festival and the castle push, too - and while Frisk preferred to talk about the festival, they know the exploration status is important.]

How far into the castle are we?

We've cleared through the areas where the queen took us in March.

[March. It takes a bit longer to line that memory up than it should - all those familiar pieces are harder to fit together when there's two months' worth - but as soon as it clicks, their reply is almost immediate.]
