[Yukio doesn't mind the wait. He's already been waiting this long to get answers, after all. He can just keep himself preoccupied with his book, even if he reads the same sentence over a few times, before hearing small footsteps making their way towards him.

Yukio looks up, distracted enough that he forgot that he'd be seeing Frisk after weeks with no sign of them. It's... a lot to take in. A lot more than he expected. He drops the book. He opens his mouth like he wants to say something.

Instead, he just rushes forward and wraps his arms tightly around Frisk, burying his face in their shoulder.]

[Frisk barely has the time to lift their eyebrows at the sight of Yukio rushing towards them. He makes contact, latching onto them as though for dear life, and Frisk manages a quiet oof of surprise before reflexively reaching up to return the gesture. Their arms circle around his back, and they lean the side of their head against his, exhaling softly. A cord of sore tension uncoils in their stomach, and...]

[A heck of a lot of pressure makes itself known behind their eyes. They, uh... weren't expecting this. You can't catch them off-guard like this, Yukio. It's been a long few days for everyone.]

[But tears don't fall, and instead Frisk squeezes their friend's shoulders gently.]

[He sort of is clinging, and he knows he's usually more composed than this, but... he really missed them, and when he gets like this, he tends to take even himself off-guard.

Being lonely does a lot to a kid. It's been a long few days for him too.
