[To say that Lance is confused would be the understatement of the forever. His life has taken a turn for the ridiculous ever since he'd found Shiro, and recently, he'd been thrown into a wormhole only to awaken in a strange cage in the rain and wind solving a word search puzzle so that he wouldn't drown. Two days later and with his life thankfully in tact, he still doesn't know where he is and why. He's talked a bit to his cagemates but their focuses were obviously on making sure they'd survive.

And so now he's just trying to throw out a communication line any way he can, as no one's responding yet to his attempts over his paladin helmet.]

Keith? Hunk? Shiro? Pidge? Allura? Coran? Anyone...? Come on, I can't be the only one thrown into wherever this is! I know a vortex in a wormhole isn't exactly the most stable of gateways, but there's gotta be someone here. Come in, anyone.

At the least someone tell me where the heck I am. Because I really need to get back. It's not like the Galrans are just going to sit on their butts while I almost drown in a cage.

[There you are, Lance! Shiro's heard some back and forth about the blue paladin having possibly arrived, but since Lance hasn't been around to medical yet, he couldn't be sure.

Shiro looks tired when he responds, but everyone's tired after that two day fiasco. He's smiling at least? Not wearing his paladin armor, though. Something dark, covering, and nondescript as is his style, but nothing Lance has ever seen him wearing before.]

Shiro! [Phew, that's two accounted for, then. He isn't quite sure what Shiro's wearing, but that's the least of his concerns right now.]

Raising an eyebrow in confusion. Why would Lance be worried about him?]

I wasn't in the cages.

[I dunno, Shiro. Since they've gotten into space, Lance has seen you in your armor more often than not.

And why wouldn't Lance be worried about him?]

The fight! The Galra base, and Zarkon, and the wormhole! I didn't know if I'd end up on the opposite end of the universe from you guys or not!

Shiro blinks once or twice before realization dawns on his face. Oh. It's not like he's stopped thinking about what happened, but he's had enough time to get a little distance on it, and the castle has given him plenty of other things to focus on.

It's still fresh for Lance, but for Shiro...]

This place... time doesn't always line up the way it should. That fight was two months ago for me.

[Lance is more than a little shocked at first, but then again. Wormhole. He's lucky he's actually in the same place as the others. Time...what's a month or two, as long as they're all safe? It's the distance that's the problem.]

Space. I just...give up on trying to understand it.

Longer? How long? What kind of wormhole did we get thrown into?

[It's not the most reassuring, but he'll trust Shiro, at least. He can do that.]

The way people here tell it, we may be in a different universe altogether. Everyone here has been pulled in to help in a fight between two supposed deities, the god of light and the Queen of Shadows.
