Well, this is a pleasant surprise.

Whichever, she doesn't really think about it. This really is a widespread thing, then. It makes her a little happy, that so many people are getting tastes of their life back before this castle again, home or otherwise.]

'Given you your tools back'? [She sounds relaxed, in spite of her question.] if they're missing and that valuable, couldn't you use a favor with Ozuma to have them around all the time?

Ah... Not quite so easy I'm afraid.

These are tools that are advanced. Significantly. They can cause cultural damage if left around peoples that have yet to reach the level of science necessary to use and understand them.

And I'd really rather not give the queen access to Plasma tech, no matter how useful it may be.

I can understand your concerns with the Queen, at least. Fair enough.

[Just bringing it here technically creates the possibility, even if it's not her directly. Maybe she'll have a Shadow possess a hapless ally, and the tools find their way into its hands. That's reasonable. And as someone who abhors technology, doubly so to her.]

I'm holding myself back to technology that will only advance a culture about a century at most. Useful stuff, but nothing that will truly form a cultural imbalance.

Of course, given that this castle seems to be ancient, I have no idea if this world even has technology beyond swords, spears, and spiritual belief.

Technology existed the day the first sentients banged an edge onto a piece of stone.

I'm not so full of myself that I think technology has to be advanced to be impressive.

My concern is technological ages of history.
