hey, it's sans.

y'know, looking back? it's been pretty interesting.

i mean, look at us. we've got some basic amenities, power, even phones and the best internet you can make banging rocks together. we've got a community and everything, hey! nothing quite like the stale smell of desperation to really bring people together. but i've heard more than one of us ask what this war's really good for. for us.

makes a guy think about something other than starrs for a change. (yeah, see what i did there? you just dated yourself.)

anyway there's an actual point to this. see, being a good little soldier really tuckered the kid out, so frisk's gone on a vacation. some of you probably have questions. before you do, i want you to think about how much pressure kids should take. and maybe, y'know, lay off a little.

[Much like Sans, Ammy hasn'y been sleeping in the room herself, either. Not since he and Frisk have been gone. She's slept on the floors of others' rooms, or curled at the ends of their beds if allowed. Friends, even acquaintances let her in for the night, but every morning she would dutifully return and wait by the door until one of her two friends returned. It'd be easier to look for them, seek one of them out, but...well, call it respect. She knows Sans will come back here at his own pace. By now, Ammy has caught on, and everyone needs a little bit of space to adjust to it all.

The familiar whiff of Sans' scent makes her nostrils flare, and the wolf opens her eyes, but doesn't lift her head just yet. She doesn't need to, either, when a bony hand meets her head and delivers a much appreciated pat. Her tail wags instinctively, and Ammy pulls back to lick at those bony phalanges affectionately. If he's expecting her to be upset, there isn't even a trace, she's just happy to see him.

It's been enough time that Ammy was definitely worried, yes. And she grunts her response to that, ears folding back against her skull as she bumps his hand with her nose.]

[ That makes something in him tighten up into a knot, her friendly affection so freely given and so familiar.

Sans settles down to sit on the floor, indulging them both in a moment of just carding his bony phalanges through her luminous fur, grinning at her. Good dog. Dog who's more than a wolf, but allow him his illusions. He's running short on the pleasant ones. It's nice to be greeted like this. Comfortable.

And it gives him time to ease that knot into something manageable. ]

I was gonna go meet a pal, get some help with those little monsters that hatched. Wanna come with?

[ He's got a friend in tow, keeping at a distance. Rio might have become acquainted very recently with Amaterasu, but still isn't so sure about his skeletal surrogate. The Riolu is peering around a corner at them. ]

Betcha there's a snack in it for ya.

[Ammy lifts her head, at first enjoying the familiar touch of Sans' hard and bony strokes then ducking her head a little to peer closely at the small creature nearby. Ah yes, that thing - a...cat? No, but not a fox, either. Tanuki? Ah, whatever, it's one of those Pokemon things, she'll just leave it at that.

Bowing her head to the creature in a calm way of greeting, Ammy yawns, stretches out her back, then stands up with a shake of her fur. Right, right...she'll come with - no where else to go and she's really missed her good friend here. Any moment she can spend with Sans is a treasured moment. Plus, she really does need to make sure he's doing alright. The past few days have been...difficult for just about everyone, and from then on it just sounded like it was getting worse and worse. Ammy is sure he could use something like this to just perk him up. Nothing too intensive, but a leisurely walk together would be nice.

And heck yeah, snacks! Ammy's tail begins to wag as a playful smile pulls at her lips. She will never say no to free food!]
