Okay, something I've been wondering.

How many of us, outside of this place, are tasked to save the world or whatever? There's some big evil or something coming and you're the only one or one of the few who can or will stand against it?

Bonus points for also having a predicted doom outside of that giant threat.

I was just curious if I was the only one whose life sounded like an awful fantasy novel.

INDEED. I HAVE NEVER UNDERSTOOD THE POINT OF IT, BUT THEN, I DO NOT PLAY FAVOURITES.

EXACTLY. IF I WERE TO START CHOOSING SIDES, I MAY AS WELL START CALLING MYSELF A GOD AND RULE MY WORLD AS A TYRANT. I DO NOT THINK I WOULD ENJOY THAT JOB.

It doesn't seem like a fun job in my experience. It sounds like it'd get boring after a few years at the most.

YES, AND I IMAGINE THE ATTEMPTED ASSASSINATIONS WOULD BECOME TEDIOUS.

I'D MUCH RATHER HAVE THE FREEDOM TO PUT MY FEET UP AND ENJOY A GOOD CURRY AT THE END OF THE METAPHORICAL DAY.

I'd love to. I can cook a little myself, but it's usually pretty basic stuff - not like curry.
