[Text] Haha freaking out what do you mean no one's freaking out this is fine-
Greetings, fellow soldiers.
With the current state of things, now is a good time to remind ourselves of appropriate levels of respect for each other. Absolute strangers potentially learning your deepest secrets is not something that sits well with myself; I imagine that I'm hardly the only person who feels this way.
I invite anyone else who may have issues with others attempting to discuss said memories to opt out of such social situations through this network post. In my own circumstances, I would prefer that you kept it to yourself.
In other news, Sans is missing. Perhaps he has also gone on vacation, perhaps not.
Please remain vigilant. If you have any further information in regards to the disappearances, or have noted someone else who does not appear to be available via their phone, feel free to share that particular information.
[Private to Frisk, Asriel, Maka, Hilda, Rin Tohsaka, Toriel, Wade, Zuko]
Please remain in contact throughout the day.
I'd hate to go to the trouble of locating you.

Their mental and emotional state is more important right now.]
Are you okay?
You want some company for a while? I can bring Tibs over.
[Private]
[Or at the very least, they aren't dropping their punctuation all over the place. If Frisk had gone missing again, it would be another issue entirely- or if Asriel-
They're not even going to think about that one.]
If you could do me a favor and attempt to text some friends, ensure that they're still here, I would be most appreciative. Sans' phone is bouncing back.
[Private]
You sure you don't want help looking for him? I think we both know his favorite hangouts-- we can hit those first.

Are you worried about Sans? I am sure he is asleep in a nook somewhere. I will look for him. I have a joke to tell him.
Would you like me to tell you?
[Private]
I would appreciate that, mother. Please let him know that Frisk is worried, should you find him.
I would enjoy a joke, yes.

What do you call an alligator in a vest?
An investigator!

We can look for Sans. Maybe he just damaged his cell phone.

I've taken the time to confirm his statue has not joined the others. Assistance in tracking him down is much appreciated.

[Zuko thinks it's more likely that he's hurt or trapped somewhere, but luckily this is text and not an in-person conversation so she can think better of saying the first thing on her mind. People don't usually find that reassuring, and Chara's obviously already worried.]
When was the last time you saw him?

You're a friend of Sans's? Are you sure he isn't just sleeping someplace?
[She hasn't known that goof for long, but. He's probably being a lazy bum somewhere. Still, the fact that someone is concerned...might be important.]
text
He's an acquaintance.
[Yep. Just an acquaintance.]
But he is a friend of my mother and my partner, I would like to ensure his safety. His jokes aren't this poor in taste, even if they're generally poor.
text
[Man, she's not even going to comment on the puns.]
Okay. Is there anything I can do to help?

Only one or two people have brought up seeing my memories with me, fortunately. But I still hate people seeing them.
[Private]
[They'd much prefer her here than back wherever she came from- or just a statue in a cold room.]
I agree with you; it's as discomforting seeing the memories of others as it is knowing they could be witness to mine.
If anyone attempts to bring them up with you once more, let me know.

...Even if this situation right now reads as them being very worried and upset.]
Is your phone working all right?
[So change the subject, that's clearly better.]

[Unnecessary, maybe; they don't think Chara is trying to be. But it distracts them from the cold feeling that makes their fingers a little faster across the phone's keyboard - like if they don't look up from the screen and Sans isn't there in the doorway, lazily propped against the frame with a joke about being a latey-bones, they won't have to be disappointed.]
[They're sure it's fine. Even if he just wandered off somewhere, enjoying some time alone, he'd ...]
[Someone would find him. Right?]
Still no sign of him in his room.
[private]
But that feels a little too much like admitting to something.]
I'm still looking. Nothing with the statues; the book is still by the Papyrus it was near before.
Telescope's here as well.
Stay in Sans' room, please.

[You know how that one goes, Partner.]
He's not
[their thumb hovers uncertainly over the c, just for a heartbeat.]

Not because she's absent too, or anything, her timing just happens to be impeccable. At the time the network post goes up and for a couple hours afterwards, Rin has her phone dismantled so she can study its insides. She can't predict weird incidents like this, okay? Since she doesn't have to bug Colin constantly with Ozuma reports anymore, today seemed like a good time to get back to one of her side projects. Pretty far off the mark there. Whoops.
In any case, it's a few hours before Rin puts her phone back together and sees this post on the network. Either she'll check in then (after dealing with any messages that may or may not have been left on her phone), or there's a chance they'll encounter each other in-person, if Chara happens to check the library while looking for Sans.
Choose your own adventure?]
[Action]
As it stands, they haven't found too many missing. So far the search isn't gleaning anything, aside from a sign on someone's door stating that they'd gone on vacation. Hardly the most inspiring of messages, considering that vacation has taken on an entirely new context for a few of the castle's occupants.
It's a nice, fun way to say you're somehow worse than dead, that's for sure.
After an hour of searching and a few bounced messages (Rin, I require you to answer me. Rin, we are looking for you, please go to the Mess Hall.) Chara's already decided; she's wherever Sans is. Likely not in the Safe Zone, phone out of action.
She's as good as dead.
They keep searching anyway.
And they aren't really expecting anything to come of it, the library door slamming open as Chara strides in, head whipping round to take in every nook and cranny they can at once. And she's just
Sitting at one of the tables.]
...Well.
You're not dead, then.

—until she sees the the look on Chara's face. Never open, never vulnerable, but something wide-eyed and raw all the same. Between that and what Chara says after makes Rin think better of that comment.]
Of course not. [Reaching down, she plucks the phone part off the ground.] Why would I be?

[For a time, that's all she sends. It becomes clear why later, about an hour or so after the initial response.]
I don't know what to tell others when they see... that place.
text
[And that's all that needs to be said. For a time.
Then her next text comes through, and of course, Chara finds themself struggling with the concept of what they would tell others, should anyone actually approach them.
Something other than 'forget what you saw', or 'no talking means no talking'.]
I suppose that's your choice. It seems ridiculous to comfort someone about your own memories, but I suppose if it comes to that, then it does.
Simply remind them of what we've spoken of prior.
[That you're moving on.]

[It's difficult to type with paws. But every part of the message is necessary. ...He'd feel better even if he could just stay in the same room with them.]
would it be ok if i came wherever you a re.

They stop to breathe, for a minute.]
I'm looking for some people who have disappeared; there are a few others joining me.
Stay in our room, if possible. Someone will check on you.
[Someone who isn't them, and less liable to...
Not have much else nice to say, even at a time like this. When the only thing they want more than to find Sans is to run and verify in person that Asriel is as he says he is.
Perfectly fine.]
