[The video flickers on to Minako's gaunt smile. She's hiding her discomfort as well as she can, but you can tell just by looking at her that she's not in good shape. Dark circles under her eyes, bloodshot, a little thin and rumpled. But she's alive. And she's flesh and blood. She's sitting in bed.]

Hi everyone! This is mostly for those of you that know me already. I think there should be a bunch of newbies here now too... anyway.

My phone seems to be missing, so I'm posing from Ken-kun's, since he found me and was kind enough to drag me back to my room.

[She turns the phone to show him for a moment.]

I'm sorry for my absence, and for those of you who saw what was... left of me, in that absence, I am doubly sorry. I let my guard down for just a moment, and that was a moment too long. The Queen got a hold of me and played me like a puppet.

I managed to get free of her hold, somehow. So here I am! I'll be honest, I've been in better shape, but I'll be okay soon enough.

I'm in my room if you need to see me, or you can reply to this. Ken-kun will let me know.

[She smiles again, clearly tired just from the effort of talking.]

She still needs to recover, so don’t crowd her. Okay?

[Ken leans in and gives the camera a serious look, and the feed cuts.]

[When he gets there, he'll find Ken going through his bag, pulling out some moldy bits of food.]

These should have been fine for another week or so... oh.

[He glances up at Rin, but doesn't move to try to stop him, at least.]

[Minako is still zen'd out on her bed, but she sits up a little to frown at the rotten food.]

That really sucks. Stupid Queen.

Yeah, food is kinda... an issue right now. [Hence why the offerings on his tray aren't nearly as plentiful as he would have liked. He did what he could to grab as much as possible for Minako knowing she would need the extra boost, but he also didn't want to completely take out their stores either. He set the tray down and gave her a careful hug.] Glad to see you back.

[Minako rolls her eyes and makes a frustrated sound. Stupid dumb Queen. Still, the fact that Rin has any food to bring her at all while they're in a famine means a lot. She squeezes him back, not fully letting go of him so he has to sit on the edge of her bed or try to tug himself away. She missed you, okay?]

Glad to be back.

[She smiles, genuine but tired.]

I'm sorry...

[Of course he's going to sit with her. At least as long as Ken will let him.] Don't be. It happens, y'know? We ain't exactly good at bein' careful, right?

[She will give Ken the grumpiest of faces if he tries to prevent her from getting her snuggles and stuff. Physical touch fuels her soul okay.

She laughs a slightly bitter laugh, twisting her mouth up a bit.]

Yeah, I guess not... It wasn't just me that was in danger, though...

[That's the part that bothers her most.]

[Rin will join in the grumpy stares if it comes down to that.] I know... we're the ones that tend to run straight in to it, though.
