Things to know about your invisible neighbors

[ Really, Zaveid just found he could type a lot into this thing and decided to make it public so maybe he won't have to explain he's not a ghost, or that he's really here, to someone again. Instead, just link it and go HEY. READ THIS THING.

so if we seem human and then there's something that really isn't human
it just goes with being what we are.

having experience myself with stealth tactics I can agree on how useful being "invisible" is

not that I'd want to be that all the time that would be a pain, too

also that tells me... not a whole lot but i'll take your word for it and just assume it's similar to the different kinds of hylek in my world...

Hylek are large frog-like creatures from Tyria. They come in a lot of different shapes and have their own tribes, so saying you met a Hylek would probably be met with the question "which kind?".

So. Katz are... Charr. Sort of. Without horns and probably not as big?

Charr are a race of feline-people from Tyria. But they have horns. No, I don't know why they have horns they just do. They're also huge.

i am trying to wrap my head around a dragon not eating something
and leaving it as a minion
and it really isnt working

guess that makes yours scarier
since they can make that decision

elder dragons have always been elder dragons

theyve always had minions

they wake up every few centuries to eat the excess magic energy in Tyria

but its never a clean process and the result is usually just more of their corrupted minions roaming around causing problems

theyre also sentient enough to CREATE their own minions and have them even integrate themselves as a peaceful race for nearly thirty years

not that i blame the sylvari for any of it that was all mordremoth and a lot of the sylvari are fighting back against his control

but it hasn't been pretty

at all

id rather it not be a contest but youre right theyre pretty fucking awful

if nothing else ive learned we're not the only ones with this sort of problem, even if your dragons are still different

thats something to take comfort in, even minimally

Kinda seems to be how it goes. Either 'aaah, are you a ghost', or I look so normal the thought doesn't cross their mind.

Really? Huh! I mean, depending on who you are, y'might get called other things, but usually we're all seraphim, with the appropriate element slapped on front.

To be honest, I was under the impression that you were a spirit like... I believe Sylph is the name of Aselia's spirit of wind?

[He's never had much of a chance to ask, really.]

Although most information is based only in ancient legend, my people are said to be descended from beings known as angel, the most powerful of whom were known as seraphim.

[Given the way that there seems to be more he isn't saying, it may not be terribly hard to guess what he means from that.]

I dunno what either of those really are. Spirits sound like ghosts, but that probably isn't right, and the closest thing I know of to 'sylph' is using Sylphestia.

You're not the first to mention that, but uh. We don't have mentions of other races close to ours. Well, I mean, humans are kinda close, at least in shape to a lot of us. [ Oh, he forgot to mention the thing about dead humans becoming seraphim once in a while. He'll just add it later or something. ]

In this instance, spirits are aspects of a world's mana given form, I believe? I admit, my knowledge on the subject is somewhat limited. The only one I have spoken to is Lady Mana, and the subject matter of our conversations has been... largely of topics more pressing than the nature of her brethren.

[Sorry Zaveid, but he doesn't know you well enough to tell you about his problems.

I admit, I am curious as to why the human form seems to be such a common shape to occur, even amongst unrelated peoples.
